Independent Living Skills

We provide trainings which focus on identifying individual’s strengths, weaknesses, and objectives. A trained facilitator offers individuals the skills and strategies to achieve their vocational and educational goals. We provide communication and problem solving tools related to searching, obtaining, and maintaining employment which are some of the skills taught in our empowerment classes.

DNEM’s Recreation, Education, and Commnity Inclusion Team (REC-IT) offers a variety of adaptive and inclusive recreation opportunities based on consumer needs and skills.  Programs provide educational opportunities via assistive technology, skill attainment and demonstrations with full inclusion allowing participants to thrive as members of the community.
