Angelina is currently a Project Manager for Curriculum and Instruction in the Detroit Public Schools Community District.  Here, she manages varying projects and operations within core content teams to ensure students are receiving the best instruction possible.  Before working at DPSCD, Angelina worked as an Instructor and Center Director for Brainspring.  Brainspring is an organization that provides a highly effective and evidence-based reading curriculum to students and educators, nationwide.  Angelina also served as an elementary, general education teacher.  In her classroom years, principals were sure to place students with special needs in her classroom.

Angelina grew up alongside her uncle, aunt and two cousins who are deaf, in addition to her neighbors who had two children with cerebral palsy. Being around individuals with specific needs was always typical family life.  Angelina plans to learn ASL from one of her cousins, to support her family and the community.

Angelina lives in Grosse Pointe Farms, with her husband Adrien, Lola (toy fox terrier) and Dusty (cat).  She loves yoga, reading, house plants and road bikes.  She is a vegetarian and world traveler.
